Buster is a special dog. He loves our goats, and will often sit by the fence at night watching over them. But this has really been sort of a love/hate relationship, as he also loves to torment the goats. Just when he was finally in coat for show, Buster decided to start chasing our goats across our drought stricken yard lined with enormous cracks. In the process of nipping at the side of the goats, he would stumble, roll, then get up and keep running, but paid the price by throwing his back out. (By the way, the goats love this game.) During his recuperation, he decided to befriend a rowdy puppy who succeeding in tearing most of the hair off of Buster's head, so we spent several more months growing hair back on his head. The good news is, we now have a dog in beautiful coat, with a dead level topline who is consistently winning in the show ring and lacks only a few points of finishing his championship. Buster has also recently become a father, and is actively involved in the education of his pack of five, and often corrects them when they become unruly. He is a unique and special dog.
