Ch. This Time She’s Dangerous, ROM

Kali was purchased from a dear friend, Lee Grunewald of This Time Kennel. Kali is a truly outstanding bitch, both in the show ring and as a brood bitch. She finished her championship at only 14 months of age, with the majority of those points, including a five point major, accumulated in six short weeks by Tonia Holibaugh, an outstanding toy breed handler. Kali was the first dog we ever took to New York for the national specialties (where she made the final cut, where she competed as a 19-month old special), and she was also shown at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. To our delight, she made the final cut at Yorkshire Terrier Club of America specialty, which was especially thrilling, as she was owner handled at those shows. We had hoped to special Kali, which was done for several months until she suffered an injury that resulted in a loss of hair on her neck, ending her career as a special.

As a mother, Kali has produced outstanding puppies. Of her first litter, three of the four puppies finished their championships, earning her a Recognition of Merit (ROM) title in 2006. Kali also achieved the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America's (YTCA) 2006 Dam of the Year award. In addition to Kali's outstanding qualities as a show dog and a mother, she is a delightful pet who has learned to vocalize a number of small phrases such as “I love you” and is an integral part of our family.
